So today was the St Hilda's Pri Day Camp as well as tj band handover.
It was a fruitful camp, i guess. For both the kids and us. All the hours of planning paid off today. (: So I don't hate kids so much anymore. But no way I'd like to have my own. Or go through child birth. Shudders. BUT. It was awesome being the "kakak" to these kids and i guess i like being an enthu wierdo sometimes. Maybe I will join anna and try to be an OGL next year. (((:
Well, handover. I came just as all the announcing was over. After that, I felt... I don't know. I guess I felt empty. I mean this year's tj band j1s are the most awesome people ever, but i guess i feel left behind. I'm still here in tj band. Well, essentially I asked for it, i came two years early but it still makes me feel empty. Tj band just won't be the same and i think i will miss everyone. ):
On the other hand, i know i have a long way to go in terms of improving musically and gaining maturity. AND I want to improve like hell on the bassoon. Even more than I did last year. BAOWEN SOUND! BAOWEN SOUND! Lol. At least now I have someone to guide me. Bassoon duets, Nic! (((: But I guess something else has also been weighing on my mind: sax-ing. Sure, I miss it sometimes (like when i get a hard passage on bassoon and i think, this would be so much easier on saxophone. damn.) and I'd like to keep in touch with it. But, I'd like to keep bassooning more. I'd like to push myself and see how far I can go with this. It's something to do with following my heart and I'm saying this openly mostly because I know no one will be reading this.
I think now that I think of it, I'm actually a bit looking forward to seeing this new tj band, with new people. I hope we take this great legend of a band and turn it into something amazing that we can be proud of years after we leave tj band behind.
ONWARD!
Oh, and I want to marry Jolene so she can bake for me everyday. Psst. Don't tell Amirah. Hehe.

Prelude 29. What can I say? I think that night was really more than just what happened that evening. It was the culmination of the entire journey that we have taken as a band and although it was not an entirely perfect performance from me, I did my best and I have no regrets. And I think given the time-frame we had to prepare, I think we did a good job. Both tj band and the stageband item. (: So kudos to us. (: I think I did feel some magical presence that night. (:
I'm going to miss playing next to Flora. ): I was just looking at the Machu Picchu score just now, with your name peppered here and there, and I realised that I might never play any lower woodwinds part with you ever. I love you, Flora, but more importantly, I appreciate you more so than you can ever realise. You've taught me so much, and I just wanted to say thank you. I can't believe this might be the last concert where we play together.
So, Nic 1. This is our first stop for our band journey together. I think we did great. (: Thanks for being such a patient sectionmate, tolerating my nonsense and stuff. We've got quite a long way to go, but I guess it never hurts to say: Thank You. You've taught me much more than you realise you have. I think I bully you sometimes, do I? I'm sorry. ): But then again, you bully me more!
Well, Hanif and Jermain and Jhin Jieh. (: I think we did great for a bunch of musicians who need to force ourselves to stop laughing in order to play some music. (: We totally made a fool of ourselves with the 'Sound of Music' thing, but no more than Alastair did, so it doesn't matter too much. I'll miss playing next to you guys man. By the way, good job Alastair! (:
I guess comments from the audience was overall okay. I don't really trust audience comments, cos they're usually biased and stuff, but I guess it feels nice when people say nice things. (: I got chocs from Sab! thanks Sab (: Yes, I could hear you and your "mysterious date" cheer for me. (:
I guess at the end of the night, I truly realised the finality of the end of Prelude 29 and I guess that's when the tears started, especially on the bus. But I'm not one to make a scene and somehow the night turned and really ended on a high with random groups of people taking photos for the sake of taking photos. Oh, and awesome donuts! (: I love Mr Wong, the donut seller. He is so cute! HAHA.
Thank you to everyone who wrote me notes and gave me stuff. Really appreciate it. (: Thank you thank you thank you. All of y'all made the night a little brighter! (:
Hi Jo, I found it! (: We can start singing together now. (:

Random photos! Too much have been going on too really, really blog about everything so I'm just going to post all the photos I've been collecting. (:
This was on my date with adel two weeks ago. We went to visit uncle john. (:
Then we went to bugis to camp at art friend and marvel at Copic pens. OH AND I TELL YOU! When we went there, adel asked the guy whether they sold copic sketch. Zomg, the guy went all haughty and was like "Oh, there are three kinds of Copics and we don't happen to sell that one". He said it like adel was some stupid kid lah WTH. Later adel told me that there are really 4 kinds of Copics. In your face, arrogant stupid Art friend staff guy.
Hearts adel! <3<3
Hello sleepy Jo! This was when I went home on bus 12 with Jo and her sis, Sam. It was so funny, I like tickled her nose and she wiggled her nose, but continued sleeping. It was so cute! Yay! I love how they look like each other. (:
This is the yummy thing that my sis bought for me the other day. I forget what it was, all I remember is that it was really creamy. (:
RANDOM. I bought this yoghurt with a happy meal. Isn't it cute? (:
The boys from Ngee Ann that we met at the malay boggle competition. They were cute little lower sec boys who were practising their boggle skills with us.
Heeqmah! <3
This Ngee Ann boy is actually my cousin Khalis! (:
Ruzanna baby! She is sooo cute! Loooove her!
The TA malay girls!
Before we went for the boggle competition, Heeqmah and I went for breakfast at McDs! (: YAY! Everyone should go for breakfast dates with Heeqmah.
Yummy half-eaten cheesecake, cos I couldn't wait to eat it long enough to take a picture of it uneaten.
This was at the Cedar Fiesta! See the green shirt girl on the left on stage? That's Azilah, my awesome friend who I have not spoken to in a long time. Also possibly the best singer in the world. (:
Greena's the truest LA student there ever was!
Joelle posing with the coral thingies during Bio. (:
See, we just need to put 'ictor' between the two coral thingies.
Adel's deep in thought.
Mr Heng FTW! (((:
This is why I love Amira man. Note the third line: I love how she's not afraid to write poetry like that Anna and I swapped shoes for PE the other day! (:
This was for Geog, the volcano experiment!
But we used expired Baking powder, so we weren't sure it would work.
But it did, so yay!
Yummy sup tulang my grandmother made last time I went to her house. Just looking at the photo makes my mouth water.
Big fat furry cat I met on the way to Huda the other day.
Who's a cutie little thing?
Yay, it was very warm. My toes are all nice and toasty.
And that's it for now, i guess. I want to go out this holiday! Ask me out, someone! (:

See both these pages? They both look the same, no? But they're on two very different topics: Osmosis and Romanticism. See what I mean when people insist on wordy things? You risk impending boredom on the reader. Mini one-colour diagrams on the side do not count. We should all burn over wordy things. Burn. Burn. Burn.
Apparently such wordiness is supposed convey scholarliness. I think it just shows how boring and uncreative we are. And yet I myself might fall into this catagory of boring sad student who gets depressed over fundamentally insignificant things such as Chemistry. ):
It is a sad day when I blog about school work. ):
I think I should blog about more fluffy things next time. ):

So this week has been cool. I still cannot believe that I am still not yet backlogged on my work but still... heh. So far so good.
OBM. Ah. Well, I really did want to go. Really upset that my dad didn't let me. But I guess it's too late, eh? Forms were supposed to handed in yesterday. ):
Oh, and during Chem, right, we were supposed to be making some atomic model thingy with plastercine but in the end we ended up with a 50 million dollar piece of artwork!
"The Baby" by Jianle
See, it even has a sequel, "The Cradle" (I actually thought it looked like a toilet bowl. HAHA)
This I did with my fingers (while researching on the VSEPR theory! Heh, I'm so good at multi-tasking), which I shall henceforth name "Ode to Rubik" HAHA
Oh, and when I came home from combined sectionals, the kids next door were getting excited over this cute kitten. Later, it followed me and walked into my house! (: AHH! SO CUTE!
Well, this week there was also homeroom decorations for CNY. It was quite fun really. (: I think our class might just win that $100 Gelare Voucher. (: The odds aren't too bad. A one in six chances of winning. (: Also, Miz C the Great mentioned that our class was very nice, so brownie points to us! Yay!
Survivors of class decorations at the end of the day at 7pm. Jeremiah, Me, Jianle, Kaiwen and Valencia. (: Credits to Kaiwen baby!
Yay, our class is damn prettaye now!
That there is 'Miah and Shao Jie doing the ewww orange seed challenge thingy. Yay Miah and Shao Jie! Oh, and Jasmine and Sab too, I guess. HAHA.
That's Anna and Adel on the Waterball thingy, and OMG it was so damn funny I couldn't stop laughing. I think Tze Hern caught them peeps on video.
Oh, after Band I decided heck, it's going to be a long weekend. Why not terrify some kids with my bassoon? Heh. So I just realised yesterday that the bassoon case had straps. Whoohoo. So I was walking around like the ultimate band geek with my backpack instrument. As demonstrated of course, by the ever-charming Samuel.
Isn't he adorable? Took this as he was just about to catch his bus. My bassoon is so powerful it stopped the bus! Woohoo!
Oh you know! The wierdest thing happened to me today. I took out a packet of Curry-flavoured Maggi Mee and out came out prawn-flavoured seasoning! OMG! And prawn-flavoured maggi is disgusting I have found out. ):
Ah. Ok. Now I say bye bye. (:
